We have a number of specialist draught and bottled beers available, our specialist beer menu is included below.  We also have a selection of fruit and country wines as well as Scottish and Irish Whiskys available.

 SPECIALIST BEERS ON DRAUGHT:

Liefmans Fruitesse, 3.8% V
A fruity pleasantly sweet, sparkling and refreshing beer blended with the juices of stawberry, raspberry, cherry, blueberry and juniper.

Leffe Blonde, Belgium, 6.6% V
The Leffe Abbey overlooks the river Meuse at Dinant in the Wallon region where they made beer until the Napoleonic times, in the 1950's it made the first licencing arrangement thus creating "Abbey Beers". Now it is the best known "Abbey Beer" in Belgium being brewed to the monastic recipe in a commercial brewery. Light bodied for its strength and with a little hoppy dryness at the finish and a spicy clove like aroma.

Konig Pilsner, 4.9% V
A truly authentic German Pilsner, pale straw in colour topped by a brilliant white frothy head, clean and crisp with a classic Pilsner aroma.


Erdinger Heffe Weissbier, Germany, 5.3% V
Top fermented premium wheat beer. Heffe means "added yeast" leading to a hazy appearance. Refreshing and sparkling with a particularly flowery bouquet, hints of apples and cloves lead to a gentle fruity finish.

SPECIALIST BOTTLED BEERS:

Leffe Brune, Belgium, 6.5% V

A ruby/brown beer with a thick creamy head, intense fruity nose and sumptuous, thick, rich milk chocolate flavours and a malty finish.


Leffe Radieuse, Belgium, 8.2% V

The name refers to the halo that radiates around the head of a saint. An extra strong dark beer with a sweetish roast flavour.


Duvel, Belgium, 8.5% V
"Devil Beer" Deceptively strong, delicious straw coloured ale, has a soft seductive palate with a strong hop aroma, and a fabulously creamy head.

Guinness Export,  Belgium, 8.0%  
Brewed in Dublin for Belgium this stout has a ripe dark fruity aroma, great depth of hop, burnt raisins in the mouth and a long bitter sweet finish.

Rodenbach Grand Cru, Belgium, 6.0% V
Supremely sour red - brown beer, fermented in oak for at least 18 months. One of the worlds classic beers and the finest example of an old or Flemish red Ale.

Kwak, Belgium, 8.0%  
Smooth, sweetish ale, darkish red in colour with a slight liquorice aroma and palate. Very distinctive with a most unusual glass.

Timmerans Peche, Belgium, 4.0% V
One of the best peach beers available, smooth and sweet, likened to a peach champagne by many, very peachy!

Timmermans Kriek, Belgium, 4.0% V

A good commercial cherry beer with balanced acidity.


Timmermans Framboise, Belgium, 4.0% V

A fruity, raspberry beer with a delicate taste, easily drinkable.


Aecht Schlenkeria Rauchbier, Germany, 5.1% V
Dark brown in colour, with an intense smoked malt aroma and palate, with dry malt in the mouth and a deep smoked malt finish.

Orval, Belgium, 6.2% V
A very dry, herby beer characterised by a bouquet of fresh hops, with a fruity notes and pronounced bitterness.  As with other Trappist beers, the flavours will change depending upon age of the beer and the temperature it is served at.

Westmalle Triple,  Belgium, 5% V
A clear golden yellow trappist beer. A complex fruity aroma and nice hop scent with a splendid aftertaste. (Bottle Conditioned).

Saison Dupont, Belgium, 6.5% V
A beautifully balanced, complex beer that has a refreshing fruitiness and long, dry finish, it is bottled unfiltered so maybe cloudy or have a slight sediment that is normal and perfectly natural.

Chimay Red, Belgium, 7.0% V
This trappist beer known as "Premiere" is a dark brown dubbel and has a sweet fruity aroma with a creamy head.

Ampleforth Abbey Dubbel, England, 7.0% V
A dark coloured and full bodied Abbey beer, in the Belgium Trappist style with a fruity, malty flavour.

Hiver Honey Beer, England, 5.0%
A golden straw colour and opens with an inviting honey and biscuit aroma, Through a sparing use of challenger and uk cascade hops a hint of citrus brings depth and balance.

Thornbridge Jaipur IPA, England, 5.9%  
A complex combination of all that makes beer great. The immediate impression of Jaipur is soft and smooth but this rapidly builds around the mouth to a crescendo of massive hoppiness.

GLUTEN FREE:
Estrella Damm Daura, Spain, 5.4% V
Multi award winning golden (pilsner like) lager. (3ppm).

Brewdog Vagabond, Scotland, 4.5% V
A pacific Coast Pale Ale, the hops explode with floral notes, quickly surrendering to a cornucopia of crazy caramel and finally melting into an abyss of citrus (zero gluten).

Hollows & Fentimans Ginger Beer, England, 4.0% V
All natural alcoholic ginger beer is made using a time honoured recipe from just five ingredients: ginger roots, water, sugar, pear juice and yeast.

Brass Castle Bad Kitty, England, 5.5% V
An award winning (vegan friendly) bottle conditioned chocolate and vanilla porter, smooth and rich on the palate.


BOTTLED WHEAT BEERS:


Erdinger Dunkel Weissbier, Germany, 5.6% V
A dark (Dunkel) wheat beer top fermented, tawny but bright with a pleasant chocolate and liquorice aroma and palate.


BOTTLED STOUTS AND PORTERS:

Brooklyn Chocolate Stout, USA, 10.0% V
A luscious deep dark chocolate flavoured imperial stout style ale, achieved through a blend of specially roasted malts. Liquid velvet!


Crew Republic Smoked Porter, Germany, 6.5% V
An experimental brew using East Kent Golding hops with smoked and roasted malts.


Black Sheep Imperial Russian Stout, England, 8.5% V
A deliciously dark, strong & powerful beer to be savoured... Irresistible but not for the faint hearted.

Rudgate York Chocolate Stout, England, 5.0%  
The rich, complex flavours are complemented by a single estate colombian chocolate essence specially created by York Cocoa House.
